Proverbs 16 "3Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans."

For us, starting this journey was not just a business decision; it was a commitment to Christian and I's faith and values. This verse from Proverbs has always resonated deeply with me, reminding me that by dedicating our work to the Lord, we would find the guidance and success we seek. With this foundation, my fiancé and I embarked on creating something special from the resources we have been blessed with.

Knowing Exactly What I’m Putting on My Body

In today’s world, it can be challenging to trust the ingredients in commercial skincare products. My passion for making goat milk soap stems from a desire to know exactly what I’m putting on my body and to provide that same assurance to others. By handcrafting our soap, I ensure that each bar is made with natural, wholesome ingredients (and love) so that nourish the skin without any hidden chemicals or additives.

A Creative Outlet and a Lost Art Form

Making goat milk soap is more than just a task; it’s an art form. It allows me to express my creativity and craft something from scratch. There’s a profound sense of satisfaction in transforming raw goat milk into a luxurious, beneficial product. This process connects me to the history of women who made soap for their families, preserving a tradition that has largely been lost in modern times. It’s a beautiful way to honor those women and keep their legacy alive.

The Rewards of Hard Work

Raising goats and making soap has been an incredibly rewarding experience for Christian and I. Seeing the direct benefits of the care and effort we put into our goats, and then creating something tangible and valuable from their milk, brings immense fulfillment. It’s a constant reminder of the value of hard work and the joy of creating something with our own hands.

Utilizing God’s Gifts

Our farm and our goats are blessings, and it’s important to us to use what the Lord has given us wisely. Making goat milk soap is a way to put these gifts to use in a meaningful and productive way. It allows us to create a self-sustaining process, where we raise and care for our goats and in turn, produce products that benefit others.

Safety for Family and Friends

My primary focus has always been to create something safe for my family and friends. Goat milk soap offers gentle, nourishing care for the skin, free from harmful chemicals. It’s a product I can feel confident in sharing, knowing it promotes health and well-being for those I care about most.

Proverbs 27:23-27: Wise Sayings of Solomon

The wisdom of Solomon’s words in Proverbs 27 23Be sure you know the condition of your flocks, give careful attention to your herds; 24for riches do not endure forever, and a crown is not secure for all generations. 25When the hay is removed and new growth appears and the grass from the hills is gathered in, 26the lambs will provide you with clothing, and the goats with the price of a field. 27You will have plenty of goats’ milk to feed your family and to nourish your female servants", serves as a guiding principle for our farm; Reminding us that paying careful attention to our herds is the understanding that true wealth lies in the sustainable and diligent care of our families, friends and farm.

It’s a fulfilling and exciting endeavor that brings together tradition, creativity, and a commitment to quality, allowing us to share the blessings of our farm with others.

With love,

Rach
